Library Germs.

I took Haley to the library this afternoon. She got her first library card, and we had a pretty awesome time.

Then I went over to pick out a few books for myself, and I thought, "hmmm...why don't we do this more often?"

Then I books go into a lot of different homes.

And I'm not saying it happens in my house, but I have been to a house or two where "reading material" is present in the bathroom.

So I just stood many bathrooms have these books been in?

Yeah, you shouldn't let your mind go there. It can get pretty gnarly.

Oh, I hope Haley enjoys her library card as much as I did mine. We had the most wonderful library in Xenia, Ohio, and I loved going there on Saturdays. I particulary enjoyed reading biographies. Happy reading, Haley!!

I have often wondered about where those books have been . . . then I sink deeper into my bath and continue reading :) . . . xoxo

Your post made me want to check into I did some quick Googling.
From the couple of studies that I've skimmed through, library books contain no more bacteria than any other public place -- handrails, keyboards, the library itself, etc... Just sanitize your hands after use and you should be fine.
