Counting Down #21

I occasionally fantasize about quitting my job and studying to be a doctor. I usually have this fantasy when driving by a hospital, going to a doctor, or watching Grey's Anatomy.

But then I remember I hate blood and get queasy at the site of it.... so maybe that's not such a good idea.

And you think church work is all consuming? Dr. Kristi would never be home. BTW, there's lots of blood and guts in church work.... it's just not visible... usually

hmmm....maybe you could just study for an advisory role? I hear a Doctor can go a long way be asking her interns, "Do you concur?"

BTW, the word verification for this post is "desspre" - I think a great job would be making these words up

Yeah...I think the whole cadaver thing wouldn't go well for you. Better to stick with your day job! (A job that makes me queasy to think about--singing and talking in front of adults! Ack!)

teddy, (aka "kobe") just emailed me with the same epiphany. i keep telling him that a hospital job does not a doctor make. :)

Hmmm... I think church work is pretty bloody (as Celeste said). It's just not visible.

I don't know if you could be a doctor... You love too much. I don't think you could achieve the level of detachment that doctors have to have between themselves and their patients.

The church needs you... :)
