A Proposal to the Gypsies.

I'm getting feed back from my gypsy friends. A girls get away is necessary. I think we should have some qualifications to join the journey.

You need to read Eat/Pray/Love. (Just so you have some background info and we have a common connection.)
We can't be connected to the outside world. No tvs/phones/internet.
We need to go somewhere adventurous...meet new people....experience new things but also have time to connect within our group.
Eating well is a must.
Must be willing to have in-depth conversations.
Must be willing to have fun.
I know the book that spawned these thoughts/this journey has a lot of spiritual implications...maybe we can figure that one out as we go. I think it will happen naturally.
We all have families (which may look different, but they are still families), so we can't be gone long. This first journey will have to be a short one. Sorry Italy..India...Indonesia...

What am I leaving out?
Where should we go?
When?
Who?

hmmmm... so many ideas. you know i'm in. in terms of timing, it needs to be next year for me. we are going to DC in October, Disneyland in November, and Oregon in December.

Ideas:

-- long weekend at the beach: ventura, monterey, santa barbara, mendicino.

-- pick a fun city that we can all fly to for a reasonable price (NOT Vegas)...

-- rent a cabin somewhere.

A group of young. beautiful adventurous women should always be accompanied by a matronly chaperon...besides.... I have a friend with a beautiful little hillside cottage on Catalina Island...

I know this means I have to out myself as a stalker of your blog, but I soooooo need to go with you! I am buying the book tomorrow. I can also provide references from church members who will atest that I am not crazy (at least not in a dangerous way).
