Soccer Mom.

I am officially a Soccer Mom.

Haley has been asking to play soccer for months now, and we got her signed up in Pee-Wee Soccer through the community.
Yeah...she's nothing like me. We tried ballet. She hated it. She was just in it to make other kids in her class laugh. She just wants to play sports. First swimming...now Soccer.

So today is Soccer Day. She even made art projects in celebration of "Soccer Day."

She took her happy nappy. Daddy came home. She woke up, and I got her dressed to go.

I love kids. If I was trying something new, I'd be so nervous. Not her...she is ready to go. I'm so proud of her for that. I got a little chocked up just thinking about it.

So Dad and Haley are gone...sunscreen and Gatorade in hand (Cause Sports people drink Gatorade, right?)

I'll let you know how it goes.

Isn't it funny how they become their own little person? Our oldest wants nothing to do with organized sports--even though Aris and I are both athletes.

But he can already paint a better picture than me. Sigh.

Happy soccering!

Maybe we can trade for a day or something....I took Ashley jogging with me and we got to the end of the block and she panicked. "Wheres the water, its too hot out, my side hurts, what were you thinking?" But she LOVES her ballet and tap class. Her newest "need" is a ballet skirt. Best of luck to Haley and her soccer experience.

Remember when we lived in the PCC ghetto penthouse next to the girl jocks, and when they accused you of not even owning a sports bra, you said "I do too! Well, actually, I think it's a leotard." HA!

Haley is soccer material. Ballet....not so much. God does gift them perfectly. BTW...do you need a new camera cuz, a pic of Haley in her soccer outfit would've been fun.

Nooooooo! Another child has crossed over to the dark side of soccer. Baseball, softball, tennis, swimming, any other sport but soccer. I just know that Travis is going to highly disappoint me someday and choose soccer over baseball. *sigh*

On a side note, Hayley does have enough energy and power to play any sport she'd like.

When does Curtis start coaching. I can't wait to see him in soccer shorts with his "old man" hat.
