Is my daughter Catholic or tired?

Conversation before Bed:

H (daughter) - Mom...Jesus and God have their own houses.
K (me) - okay..
H- How does Jesus come out of heaven to get us?
K - I'm not quite sure how...we will have to wait and see.
H - but He is in our bellys. How is He also in heaven?
K - you mean our hearts?
H - yeah.
K- Jesus and God are everywhere...they are so powerful...they can be anywhere and everywhere at the same time.
H - Is there food in heaven?
K- Of course.
H- How do you know?
K -ummm...
H - Is Mary in heaven?
K- Oh, I'm sure she is.
H - (starting to cry)... I want to see Mary. I want to give her a hug and tell her I love her. Remember when you didn't let me hug her when she was in our driveway.
K - (thinking fast) you mean at the drive-thru (a Christmas tradition of our church)
H - YEs. The drive-thru. (still whimpering) You didn't let me hug her and that made me sad.
K - Well...the real Mary is in heaven, and you can hug her when we get there.
H - Okay. Mom....I need socks.

she's so cute... I can just see her saying she needs socks - out of nowhere like that. SO sweet...

This reminds me of a conversation that I had with Theo when he was 4. We were working on a project and he was asking me about the devil. He was quite certain that if all the people who loved Jesus just hugged him for a really long time, he wouldn't be bad anymore!

I love those moments.

Lisa - I laughed outloud at your comment. Aren't kids minds just the most precious things?
