Conversation.

H - See my new shirt. I get to keep it. I wear it on soccer days.
K - Did you have fun?
H- Yeah. At first I didn't know if I wanted to play because there we so many kids there.
K- Oh Really?
H - And then I decided that it was okay...
K- Oh good. So what did you learn?
H - I was on a team that didn't win. I wanted to win.

Okay...maybe she is like me afterall.

They keep score in kids soccer? I thought they didn't do outlandish things like that. From what I've heard everyone wins a medal for breathing and running around in amoeba formations.

:)

I kid because I love.

Apparently, they lost because her team didn't yell their team name loud enough.

I'm confused was it a sporting event or a pep rally? Oh and another thing, did she have any practices concerning skills, strategy, etc. It seems like her team may have gone in unprepared or at least overconfident.

If you need some cheers, I know some from softball that may be transferable to soccer.

don't be a hater billy.

just cause my kid likes to exercise and actually run around instead of standing around in a field.

Haley and Hope should get together. She hates losing too.

How about the traditional girls softball cheer of:

"Is she high or is she low?
Is she fast or is she slow?
...
Get that little pitcher out!"

This must can be converted to soccer if you like. But for it to be effective you must scream it at the top of your lungs, looking evil and climb a fence at the same time. But then again, it's soccer, people are a bit nicer their.

there, not "their"

I'm not a hater, I am trying to figure out how I can encourage Haley. You know, like I wrote early in my blog career. When they lose give them a hug and tell them to get them next time.

And by "get them" you mean have her scream louder.

Exactly!
